This was such a fun family! My old neighbors from Arizona were in town on vacation with her family and I got to hang out with them while they were here. We did a family shoot in Coronado.
The pics turned out pretty good considering, they were taken at noon(with the most harsh sun ever) and there were 14 people. The shoot was originally scheduled for 5:30 but the guys had to watch the Sun's game at that time.
What a fun family.
I had a great time with you all! Thanks for including me in your day!

Jen, I am so happy I got to see you guys and meet your family.
Thanks for lunch and for all the laughing. I really did have a blast! :)

Yesterday I shot the band The Last Revival. They are an up and coming group that was a lot of fun to shoot. Lots of energy and silliness involved. You can tell this band is tight knit.

I know they won't use this last shot, but I really loved how it captured Sammy in mid air.
-There are lots of GREAT shots to choose from. These are just a few for the band to see.
Had lots of fun with you guys. See you soon!

No smiles, just this face. What a cutie. I love this little dude! Aiden has transitioned well with the move. He has been a little crankier than usual but I think he might be teething. There are a few more pics up on his blog here.
I am hoping to get out and take some beach pics soon. Until then, have a blessed week!

Edited.... These pictures look very orange on my monitor. They aren't. Hopefully they don't look that way on your screen. Just had to point out they look great on my one computer, but bad on the other. Thanks :)
On the Friday before we moved, my friends and I got together. We met at my dear friend Ruby's house for pictures. Then we headed to Macaroni Grill, then off to dancing. I had so much fun.
This is me and Ruby. It's funny how we met. She came into the scrapbook store I was working at and wanted a scrapbook done of her Italy trip. I did about 3 other books for her. We just clicked. She is such a special person to me. Thank you for everything Ruby! You are very special to me!
Ruby's husband Mike took these group shots. The top one is where they are sticking their tongue's out at me for moving.

This is Casey. I worked with her. SHe is a very sweet person. Aiden sure did love playing with her.

This is my dear, dear friend Brianna. What would I have done without B ? Brianna has been there for me through most everything. She is such a rock and has the best advice. I truly don't know if living in Arizona would have been the same without her. She also makes the best chocolate chip cookies! I love you B!!
This is Alana. She was the owner of the scrapbook store I worked at. They became like my second family. Thank you for always being so kind to me Alana!
This is Taira, Alana's sister. She is so funny. Taira can brighten any room and certainly make you laugh. I am going to miss you !

Everyone that I met in Arizona is special. They all contributed to my life. Without them I would not be the person I am. Living in Arizona, I learned to truly rely on myself, my husband and God. We moved there knowing no one, and I leave with wonderful friends that will always be with me. I know it may sound silly but it's true.
I have grown personally, more than I could have imagined. These people helped me do that.
I know I always talked about moving home to San Diego. I hope that everyone in Arizona truly knows that while I am home, they will always be in my heart.
Thank you for making me feel welcome in your homes and in your lives. You always have a place to stay here :)
Love to you all
-Missi

Whew!
Been packing and getting ready for the big move. I have also been working full time and taking care of Aiden. No wonder I am exhausted. I will be happy when we have finally moved. But, we are getting rid of things. It's nice to go through your things and realize that you don't use/need certain things anymore.
This entry is short. I am hoping to get another one in before Friday. We are having our cable disconnected then.
Otherwise I will be blogging from San Diego!
Have a great week everyone!

I did a fabulous family shoot today with my friend Casey. There were so many cute pictures from this shoot that I had to only choose a few of my favs. I hope you like them Casey. Your family is beautiful!
Aren't they cute?
Doesn't her hubby kind of look like Garth Brooks? I didn't really notice it until I was proofing these.
Fun shot. Casey wanted this pose.
Their pretty little girl.

Missing my Gizmo. When I went to San Diego a few weeks ago, my grandparents offered to keep Gizmo for us while we moved back. They even said they would keep him if we couldn't find a place that accepted pets. When Gizmo was here, he would be annoying especially around Aiden. But, he was only doing it because it had been just me and Gizmo for so long. He is my buddy. He has kept me company when Mark has been gone. I just miss the little guy. I hope that we can get him back real soon when we move. I really do love my big eared dog. I know he is getting spoiled at my grandparents house. He probably won't want to leave there because they treat he so good. We'll see. I miss ya Mr. Moo :) (0ne of the many names I have for him)
I also wanted point out that the song in my previous post is Notorious B.I.G, aka Biggie, Big Papa. Thanks to Masen for pointing that out to me.

" Going, going, back, back, to Cali, Cali....." I don't know who sings this but it has been stuck in my head for the last few weeks.
We have been busy bees around here. First, finding a place to live was a bit challenging. But, we found one!!!
Now, we are packing and getting ready for our move back home! I can't wait.
I wish that I could put into words how excited I am to move back. All of my family, except my mom(hi mom) are there. About 95% of our friends are there too. It is just a great feeling being able to go back home! I am not looking forward to the high prices back in Cali but that is the trade off :)
I am so excited to get my business running in San Diego. I know it will take time, but it will be worth it. Also, transitioning from photographing children to doing weddings has been a lot harder than I thought it would be. I want to do weddings so badly but it seems that not many people want to give me a chance. I know it will get better, it's just frustrating right now.
I am a good second shooter if anyone needs one :)
Anyway, I am hoping to update this periodically but it's going to be busy around here.
I am around, so leave me a comment. I would love to hear from you!!!
Until next time......

So, here are some pictures from the Party of 5 class I went to. I had a blast.
Here is Israel. He was nice enough to let me use one of his lenses for the day.
[b]ecker in action!
Here is the beautiful couple.
I had such a great time. Thanks to Israel, Tracy, Adam and Masen for making it so much fun. It was great meeting you guys!

I am such a stinkin slacker lately it's ridiculous!!! This poor blog needs some love and I can't really give it any right now. I do have a good excuse. I have been busy lately. I just back from San Diego yesterday from a nice trip to see my family. But the real reason was to go to
[b]ecker's Party of 5. I promise to post some pictures soon!
My other excuse is that we are moving back to San Diego is about 2 weeks. Yippee. I just found out we got the place we wanted about an hour ago. Now, I get to pack :(
So, I promise to update with some pictures soon!!!! Just bear with me.
